Pros: lovely people
Cons: my husband not remembering his pin number

"This was our 2nd trip with Eromedical tours and I must say nearly everything was spot on.
We arrived about 1700 hrs and we were met by the Doctors and Consultant who then proceeded in telling me how they where going to do my 3 operations. I then had a througher medical and was pronouced fit for surgery. I went down at 0800 hrs and was in theatre for over 7 hours. I spent the night in icu and returned to my room where my husband was waiting for me.
Due to my blood count dropping I had to have a blood transfusion and everyone was so nice and explained what was happening. We spent an extra 3 nights in the Apollo Hospital before being upgraded to a Beach Resort Hotel which was very nice.
I found all the staff from the cleaners to the consultant were all brilliant.
The only person who was very agressive was the billing clerk due to the fact that our payment was lost in someone's system and she thought we had not paid the surgeon's but everything turned out alright.

Pros: excellent results, beutiful weather, shopping was amazing
Cons: not enough time to enjoy mumbai

"I went to Mumbai for my surgery .
The treatment i was recieved was better than i expected..the thought of going to india for surgery was very frightening but i have to say i was surprised at how well i was treated.
Zahid was amazing, kept in touch by phone thought the stay making sure there were no problems which was very reasuring knowing that i had somebody at hand if things went wrong....luckily everything went to plan and i look fantastic.
Dr Tibrewala is truely a talented surgeon using all the latest methods ( which i have never heard of in England) leaving no scars at all...amazing
I would recommend Euromedical tours to all my friends and family with confidence.
The only down side to my trip was the lack of time i had to enjoy the area. Mumbai was fanastic and i thank Zahid for recommending it,I dont think i would ever had the chance to visit such a beautiful place otherwise, and YES i will defaintely go again

Wonderful experience Date: 10 July 2009
Pros: cost effective high quality care, chance to see world class medicine, fabulous cultural experience
Cons: the temperature - dress for hot weather, make sure you understand how to barter when out

"Having compared the costs between private surgery in the UK (£5.5k) and private surgery abroad (£1.2k), I opted for the latter. Flights to Mumbai were £316 with expedia, so even added together proved vastly cost effective.

My experience was fantastic. I was slightly overwhelmed arriving at Mumbai at Midnight as it was my first visit to India. However, both my fiance and I were picked up by a driver and taken to Saifee Hospital (http://www.saifeehospital.com/).

Overall experience was fantastic. Staff were very attentive. Room was spacious and clean. And Dr Tibrewali, the consultant whose care I was under, kept in regular personal contact. I also had regular phonecalls from Euromedical Tourism to ensure everything was fine.

One bit of advice with Saifee Hospital, ask for a room that does not face the main road. Although the front view is beautiful, it is a city that never sleeps, and it's outside your window! so gets very noisey at 3-4am in the morning. The views were fantastic though, but not a trade off after an operation I would do.

I have recovered from my rhinoplasty operation fully. It went as well as I could have expected. No complications. No infections. Hospital was as sophisticated as any private hospital I have seen in the UK.

We got discharged into a local hotel after about 4 days. Again, fantastic experience. Few tips: when tipping door people, aim for around 20 rupees. Taxi fares around Mumbai central shouldn't cost you any more than about 50-100 rupees absolute maximum - obtain a rate card. I say this, because 1. the cost of taxi fares for the same journey ranged 50 to 500 rupees (the latter we challenged) and 2. we were well enough to do some sightseeing, and in fact, after four days in hospital, you will want to get out and about.

When in hospital, take some entertainment - something to read etc. There are a few english speaking channels, but you will want something else to do.

Depending on how much you want to spend, The Taj Mahal at the Gate of India is a fabulous Hotel. It is more expensive, but they are doing some good discounts at the moment (7000 rupees per night) so worth it.

I would definately do this again and recommend to friends and family.

An Amazing Job, An Amazing Place! Date: 26 May 2009
"I originally started looking into my rhinoplasty December 08, which was a bit in advance as earliest I could have my surgery was April due to holidays at work.

I found Zahid very pleasant to deal with, very relaxed and totally without any pressure, but still very organised. He gave me quotes for a number of different hospitals and surgeons, and in the end I decided to go with Dr Tibrewala, as I got some really good results when I googled him, and the surgery to take place at Goa Apollo Victor hospital, because lets face it, it's Goa!

I had my consultation, and both Dr Tibrewala and Zahid were very reassuring in person and I felt completely at ease, so I went ahead and booked.

Zahid knew of another lady travelling for surgery at the same time on her own (I was travelling with my friend) so he arranged for us to meet up at Heathrow.

Jet Airways flights were amazing - the best airline I've ever flown with, very well organised. Transfer to the hospital was a bit of a culture shock, bit of an interesting vehicle for your first experience of Indian road traffic! But nevertheless, after 10 hours a transfer is a transfer.

Hospital was amazingly clean - spotlessly so, cleaner than any NHS hospital I've been in, nurses were very friendly. Billing was a little interesting as they didn't seem to get it right first time, and then after my surgery they realised it still wasn't correct - which can be a little worrying but once I got home and worked it back I did pay what I expected in the end.

Main problems were the arrangements for food for my companion - canteen didn't seem keen to serve anything other than bottled water, and there was a real language barrier when ordering room service. In the end it turned out that my friend could request to be on the same menu as me, we just wish we'd known that earlier. Don't go expecting English cuisine - you're in India. I was fine with the food - plenty of it and well cooked, so very happy - but my friend as a more fussy person really struggled to eat.

You do have to keep your wits about you, sometimes with the language barrier things aren't explained fully, so you've got to do your best to ask questions and if you do need help you've got to be a little bold and do your best to ask, otherwise things will get a bit confused. But on the whole, no problems.

Surgery was amazing, woke up feeling tired but no more pain than sore nostrils as if I'd been wiping my nose too much. Hardly any bruising. The plaster in the heat did do my head in, with the sweating and the icky feeling that I was unable to wash my nose for a week. But very well carried out - can see why Dr Tibrewala was world renowned. Dr Patel who did the aftercare was also excellent and very personable.

Transfer to Jasminn Inn was much better than the transfer to the hospital - nice airconditioned van. The hotel is beautiful. Its in a village off the beaten track, but the hotel is second to none. If thats a basic hotel I'd like to know what isn't a basic hotel as I was very impressed. The Green Bamboo restaurant is excellent - staff very friendly and chatty. Rooms excellent, grounds excellent although pool could do with a bit more seating, maybe an outdoor section of the restaurant?

And I got to do the bulk of my recuperation on the beach - what can I say - there's no better place to do it. Would definitely go again if I ever wanted something else doing - amazing experience.

And I am VERY happy with my results.

superb friendly caring service Date: 04 March 2009
Pros: highly skilled surgeon, great post op care, very good english speaking personnel, great food and service, beautiful location and vibrant people
Cons: lack of time to enjoy the area, spent most of my time recovering and not out

"hi there i was a bit apprehensive on going abroad for comestic surgery its now nearly 3 months since i have had rhinoplasty and chin augmentation done.

wish i had done it earlier.

i went to london to see Dr Tarar and Zahid for my intial consultation both were very professional in there revelent roles.

this gave me the assurance that i needed to carry on with my surgery.

i decided to have my operation in lahore pakistan being a pakistani this was a easy choice as i already knew the language and customs there so can get by on my own.everyone spoke a good level of english from start to finish so language should be a problem for others.

arrived in lahore was picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel which was very impressive it had internet connections so i kept in touch with family and friends.

i met Dr Tarar agin for a pre op check then the next day it was operation time and recovery at the AMC medical Hospital.

i was lucky to have some family come and visit me there in lahore.

the qulaity of care from all the medical staff was great Dr Tarar's team were great.

i knew i was in great hands with a very experienced surgeon.

i was lucky enough to meet Zahid in pakistan too a couple of times who kept an eye on me to make sure i was feeling fine.which i thought was a great personal touch.

i had my bandages finally removed the day before arriving back in the uk my only regret was not having enough time to explore the wonderful city of lahore without my bandages on lol.

i wish i had done this operation much earlier in my life now i am much happier in my apperance which is giving me more self asteem.

thank you Zahid and special thanks to Dr Tarar for you expert medical skills which changed me into a more confident and happier person.

i highly reccommend you to anyone considering comestic surgery abroad you are in good hands.

Pros: inexpensive, excellent results, travel
Cons: hospital food wasn't great!

"I just want to say to anyone who is worried about getting surgery abroad needn't worry. The hospital I stayed at was very clean, the staff very thorough and methodical. The thing which is the main concern for new patients is the surgeon: I was lucky to have Dr Tibrewala, who is extremely skilled, intelligent and kind. He is also approachable and happy to answer questions via email, ask him for photographs of work he's done, google him. Dr Tibrewala is the equivalent of our UK specialists yet you're paying a fraction of the cost and you get to go abroad!
If anyone is serious about surgery, I would definitely recommend this, beats staying in London for a week and paying 5 times the cost. I would say if you went with Dr Tibrewala then you are in safe hands. I now have a beautiful nose!

"It has been two weeks since my visit to Lahore to have facial cosmetic surgery.
Now that the swelling has disappeared and the stitches dissolved I feel I am in a position to rate the overall service.
The uk side of things was handled very professionally by Zahid. Quotes and queries were sent to me quickly.
At the consultation in Preston, Dr Tarrar explained exactly what was involved and what the likely outcome would be.
Having decided to go ahead with Euromedical I was impressed with the completeness of the package. Collection to and from the airport/hotel/medical facility.
The level of care at the facility exceeded all my expectations. My wife (who had accompanied me) and I were made to feel incredibly comfortable.
The 7 day visit I had was rounded off with a stay at a local hotel which had been booked for me.
We were assisted by Zahid with everything from local currency exchange, my wifes shopping and cargo requirements, which restaurants to dine at and ordering milkshakes from mcdonalds in the middle of the night!
Whilst I had swelling to the face I feel I had more of a holiday than a medical visit.
My only regret is staying only 7 days as I feel I would have enjoyed the stay more given more time.
I have no hesitation in recommending Euromedical.
I am extremely glad I opted to have the surgery, I could not be more pleased with the results.

"It has been 3 months since I had my surgery to straighten my nose and reduce the size of the tip. I had a very good experience during my consultation in the U.K. All my questions were answered and I was able to see a photo of how my nose may look after the surgery to cofirm to myself I still wanted to go ahead with the procedure.
On arriving in India, I was initially a bit overwhlemed by the chaos and hussel bussel of the people going about their day!
However, after arriving at the clinic, talking with numerous staff and seeing where I would be staying, I was put at ease. The day of the procedure went efficiently and I felt very taken care of. The surgon visited me in the morning, to answer any final questions, talking plenty of time to explain how he would correct my nose.
I was well taken care of after the procedure, and the follow up care was just as efficient and hassel free.
My nose was swollen and bruised for a week, before the stitches had been removed. It has been a slow process of reduction in the swelling, but each week is exciting as I see a more refined nose!
The total price including flights was much cheaper than the U.K, and I was able to experience a completely different culture and climate aswell.

"I had several quotations for treatment abroad, but Euromedical was the only one that was able to organise everything I wanted in a short space of time. They were very efficient in processing my documents, including the visa, air ticket etc. I am overall very happy with the treatment I received, and although I had not visited Pakistan before, it turned out to be a good choice for my surgery. Transfers and visits to hospital were all arranged for me, and the hotel accommodation was very suitable. My family in the UK were kept informed with phone calls, and in general I found the medical and care staff to be kind and helpful.
Although it was a long way to travel for surgery, I believe in the end there may be some advantage to being in a completely new place, away from the responsibilities from everyday life. The outcome of treatment appears to be good, but at the time of writing it is too soon to see the final result, because I have only just returned home..

"It is now just over 8 weeks since I had my surgery (tummy tuck, breast lift and reduction and inner thigh lift), done by Mr Kumar in Calicut in Kerala and I have to say that I am very pleased with the results although I obviously still have some way to go. The staff were just lovely and a special mention goes to Babita and Smitha in Kerala and Zahid who runs the UK end, who just couldn't do enough for me and my daughter who accompanied me. We were met at the airport and taken staright to the hospital, where I was immediately taken to X-ray and then had some blood tests done. We were then taken up to our room on the 9th floor which had its own en suite and little kitchen facilities. My op went smoothly and I was under the knife for 9 1/2 hours and was then taken to ICU where I spent the next 3 days under constant care. Then back up to my room for a bit more recovery. Unfortunately things didn't go quite to plan and I had to spend the whole of my time in India in the hospital due to the drains that I had attached, but the care I was given was second to none. The only drawback I would say was that sometimes there was a bit of a language barrier but with help that was soon overcome. I have nothing but praise for Mr Kumar and his team and if I was planning to have anything else done I would have no hesitaion in going to see him again."

Dr Tibrewala is the most approachable and caring doctor I have ever met. The hospital, Saifee hospital, is more of a spotless hotel than a hospital and the care after the treatment was fantastic.
I can honestly say you will not find the quality of care I received in the UK. I even received physiotherapy and dietary advice during my stay.
If you are sure you want your treatment but undecided about having it in India I would say 100 % go for it.

"I had surgery in Lahore in January this year. I had my consultation in Preaton with Dr Mozzam and knew straight away that he was a true proffessional. I trusted him completely.
We were met at the airport and transferred to our hotel. The hotel was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The surgery went exactly as planned and I transferred back to the hotel on the 5th day., where Dr Mozzam and his wife continued to visit daily.
On the day before we were due to fly home the hotel organised a driver for us, who took us on a tour of Lahore.
I am now fully recovered and delighted with the results of my surgery. I own a beauty salon and many of my clients have followed my progress and are considering surgery themselves. I would have no hesitation in recomending Dr Mozzam.

"I travelled to Lahore in March last year for a facelift, upper eyelid surgery and lip implant. This followed a facelift in this country one year earlier. The surgery I had here was highly unsatisfactory and, at the time of my consultation with Dr Tarar, I was close to despair, having seen several English surgeons all of whom either advised me to wait several years for a revision or seemed to perceive no problem. The attitude of Dr Tarar, however, was entirely different and inspired me with confidence from the outset. He was wholly positive and agreed at once that my earlier surgery was poorly executed. He went on to suggest further improvements which I had not even contemplated. I was so overjoyed at having met a surgeon who could help me that even the prospect of travelling all the way to Pakistan was no deterrent, especially as Zahid made all the necessary arrangements and ensured that everything went smoothly. My stay at the Sunfort Hotel was truly memorable; the staff were so pleasant, smart and efficient and the memory of the truly delicious food will stay with me forever. The hospital was clean and quiet and the nurses so friendly and kind. My surgery went without a hitch, quite unlike my experience in England at a BUPA hospital where I contracted a horrendous infection that took weeks to clear up. I firmly believe the surgeons here are scaremongering and motivated by the prospect of high fees when they try to dissuade people from travelling abroad for surgery. My own experience is proof of this, I think, and the care I received in Lahore was far superior to that I received here. So, to anyone contemplating surgery abroad, and especially, of course performed by Dr Tarar, I say "Go for it!" with confidence."

Pros: a chance to go somewhere i'd never thought i'd go
Cons: it's a long way from home when you're poorly

"I went to Pakistan in March 2007 for a mini facelift and veneers on my two front teeth. I was going on my own so was nervous but Zahid arranged everything for me and made it very easy. I was concerned when I got to the airport in Lahore that I would not know where to go but I was quickly reassured by an eager cab driver who was expecting me and it turned out worked for Dr Moazzam regularly. I was taken straightaway to see Moazzam for the consultation and he put me at ease. I was then taken to the lodgings which were very clean and comfortable and picked up later on by the driver to meet some other patients and take a trip into the city and get some food. Moazzam and Miriam his wife made me feel very welcome which helped to settle my nerves. The very next morning I went to the hospital to have the operation and was impressed by the cleanliness of the hospital and efficiency of the staff. For a few days after the operation I had nurses with me for 24 hours a day providing excellent aftercare and much needed pain relief! I requested to stay at the hospital for a few extra days as I did not feel able to look after myself as I was on my own and this was no problem. When I was taken back to the lodgings, Miriam ensured that I was looked after and she organised a couple of day trips. I don't have much to say about the dental surgery after all it is never pleasant. But again, it was done very professionally and I am very pleased with the results.
For anyone that is nervous about surgery abroad - don't be! The hospitals are very clean, the surgeon knows exactly what he is doing and they look after you every step of the way.
