I suffer from Myopathy (Erb type) and I am from Kazakhstan. Five years ago I started experiencing severe muscle weakness, now I am 40
and I use a wheelchair. I consider myself to be a strong person, I try to prevent the consequences of my disease with daily exercise,
and periodically I visit special centers, so as to receive professional treatment. I am an outgoing person, I like traveling, as
well as getting to know new people ; therefore I have decided to come to Greece and stay at Evexia Centre. I have been searching several
accessible places abroad, but the way the coordinator replied to my requests and the way they handled my case made me to decide quick.
At the first examination, everything was well understood, the plan, the treatment goals, and the doctor was very friendly. My health
problem was understood and the rehabilitation program was according to my needs. I was surprised to find electronic wheelchairs for
rent, and I was also happy to be able to move around in the garden areas of the centre, to visit the nearby city and to feel free! On
the whole, I must admit that I had a nice 3 weeks accommodation, that proved out beneficial for me. In my country, in Kazakhstan, there
are no unfortunately such centers, at the moment, that provide for the wheelchair users and offer special to my needs treatment.

I consider it my duty to share my experience in the rehabilitation center “Evexia” with you and to tell everyone how doctors and
staff of this center helped me. It so happened that in Russia in 2012, I faced a number of health issues after receiving
domestically medical care without much success. I had a tumor and a domestic doctor suggested me to remove the tumor. The surgery was
unsuccessful, i was in coma nearly a month, causing me paralysis. I became disabled and in order to support my children, I was forced to
fully learn the meaning of the word “Rehabilitation”. Before this incident, I was the owner of a large company and directed a
successful business. I was suffering because my physical condition did not allow me to work and to be an independent man at the age of
34. I lost my business and therefore the ability to pay for my recovery treatment- I could not visit the Evexia center back then, which
I regret very much- . In December 2013 I came to Evexia center and I followed a 6 weeks rehabilitation program after 2 years of
unsuccessful rehabilitation in Russia (I am very sad to voice it, but it is the bitter truth). Russia has a similar rehabilitation
center "Three Sisters", where I learned to walk very soon after the disaster, but it is not cheaper than the Evexia centre and it is
situated in the woods, out of the windows, you cannot see the beautiful Mount Olympus. To begin with, the main thing that I liked
most– the treatment outcome- and not the kind of view out of the windows, although I am pretty sure that one thing is related to
another. The first feeling that you get from the environment in the Evexia center is that "You can make it!" Every eye of a doctor,
every room, every hour spent in Evexia centre, every word and movement, a friendly touch of a hand shared with an employee, is filled
with as a new vessel for your health. All actions are designed and verified by respective protocols. The swimming pool, the fitness
equipment, the skillful caring hands, the professional programs. I saw also the same in the center "Three Sisters" in Russia, but most
likely the period for my recovery there was still too early. In the center of "Three Sisters" I started to walk without support, in the
Evexia center I started to run in the pool and make fine movements with my fingers and hands. Those who know what hemiparesis and
spasticity is, will understand me. These two days, when I was able again to play football, even though on a video game, and build a
pyramid, I wrote in my diary - 29 November and 9 December 2013. Football and pyramid is certainly a great outcome after two years
of immobility. But the most important result was that back in Russia, I did not just achieve to have a normal family, but also returned
back to work, back to an interesting and independent life. After two years of disability , classified as group 1, I was not only
reappointed in the civil service, in a position of full of responsibilities- with hundreds of subordinate staff, but also was assigned
to make distant trips, a three times over the summer visit of the border regions of Russia, where even people without any restrictions
dare not to go. And this is of course due to the center Evexia, Greece. In fact, besides the picturesque view of mount Olympus I,
thanks to the human centered care in the Evexia center, was able to visit the Russian monastery of Saint Panteleimon on Athos mountain
and several cities in Greece, to regain confidence in myself and feel again as a valuable member of the society. I would like to
thank once again the director of the center and his assistant Svetlana. I was treated by the doctor Kandilakis. I would also like to
express many thanks to him and to all those who took part in my recovery, the most helpful and friendly team - Yannis, Maria, Elena
x3, George, Sarrandis, Nikos, Veronica and many others.

I have incomplete tetraplegia -ASIA D - and before coming to the Evexia center i had problems in walking, in carrying out daily
activities, and in small muscle movements of the upper limbs. I came to know about the center , because I was searching for
electronic systems –Bioness F.E.S. equipment- to help me to walk properly and I saw that this center used that systems in the
neurorehabilitation process. As their site was very informative, I also found out that the center was very well organized regarding what
we need, there are special departments and experts to look after the patients. Once, I contacted with their International Patient
Department, they fully informed me about the protocol of a patient’s admission, so I could easily get all the information I needed.
So, within a week I took the decision to come along for three to four days, to check his process of treatment there. From what I saw,
how the work is done there, how the personnel deals with the patient etc. I found out that they are very professional, very helpful up
to standards and have experience in this field of rehabilitation. We have visited many centers before in Germany, in Egypt, in Ukraine
and I must say that that in that center I have no concerns regarding their system. I had a complete confidence in doctor’s Stefas’
experience and in his field of expertise. I was constantly supervised by the doctor, he was available all the time and there was a good
follow up. Also, i am more than happy with the therapy personnel they were like friends to me. I must say here that the social feeling
played an important role in my rehabilitation. I would recommend the center to any patients with similar diagnosis, as the center’s
infrastructure is very suitable for what they are doing, they have the most up - to date equipment, and the most important of all they
have a system how to follow up a patient, how to use the right protocol, how to change the program according to the patient’s
condition. We plan to come again to that center as soon as we get a visa, and stay longer this time.

My daughter is 2,5 years old and she has an inborn cerebral palsy (CP), that affects her speech, gait and cognitive abilities. We were
on holidays in Halkidiki of Greece, when we got to know about the possibility of getting treatment for children with Cerebral Paralysis
at Evexia Center. We liked the comments we heard about the center, as well as the treatment plan they send us during the first
communication, so we decided to come for treatment. My daughter started to follow the treatment plan very quickly. Already from the
first week she could cooperate easily with the physical, speech and occupational therapists. They tried to adapt the program according
to her needs and mood, and provided me constantly with support and help. On the whole, I think that the doctors’ and therapists’
job was great. We achieved more than we had expected there. We have reached far more goals that we originally had set , when we arrived
at the center. The most evident results are speech and cognitive improvement, she started to pronounce better the words and to
understand what happened in the surrounding environment. I also saw significant improvements in her physical condition, she started to
use more the left hand- what she early couldn’t do- and to follow the right pattern in walking. At the centre she also tried an
innovative method in rehabilitation, the functional electrical stimulation for gait training, which she liked a lot. I could see how the
gait pattern improved in front of my eyes! After a month of training she could walk straight! I liked everything there from the
professional personnel to friendly accommodation and we will come again in June. I definitely recommend the Evexia rehabilitation
center to those parents who seek a proper rehabilitation treatment for children under 5 years.

My parents were on vacation in Greece in May, when my father had a stroke. He was immediately taken to the hospital . Many thanks to
the doctors that they took him in life. After a few days they had advised us, my father was to go to a rehab center that specializes in
neuro-rehabilitation " Evexia " center. Within two months , my father could walk , climb stairs , and did not need any help from us , he
was completely independent. The behavior of the interdisciplinary team of specialists , every thought , every gesture , was a
pleasant surprise for me. The Personnel has taken care of everything to make us feel welcome . Particularly , I was amazed by the
results of therapy. Very often I was my father informed the treatments and therapies. I felt that I was a member of the team, while at
home! I wanted to express my experience because I had a different opinion on rehabilitation in Greece. Translated by Google

Hello, I am 45 years old woman. Seven months ago, I have had a stroke, after that my left side was paralyzed. One of my doctors
recommended the Evexia rehabilitation center. After contacting the international patient department and a telephone discussion with
Mr.Stefas, I decided to go. I have to say, that the personal and the doctors are great. The whole atmosphere is very friendly, you
feel like home. From the first day, we set the goal of the treatment, after ten days we set new goals. At the end of 30 days of
treatment, I was able to work with my left hand and to walk much better. I would like to send my greetings, to Evexia medical
personal!

After a car accident on 27.05.2013, i have had two operations on my spinal cord at the level T4. Then i decided to have a rehabilitation
program, at the Rehabilitation center Evexia. The treatment was wonderful, the doctors and the medical personal was very friendly and
was showing a lot of care for me. The clinic environment is perfect, the combination of greek climate in august and the quality of
service, made the rehabilitation process very very good. Many many thanks to people who works there.

I have had a car accident. After that, I had an operation on my spinal cord, at the level c5 c6. I was not able to breath physically
after the operation. Then doctors recommended, to have a rehabilitation treatment at the Evexia Center. It is not easy to believe, but
after 20 days of treatment I was breathing physically. I am very glad, to the doctors of the Evexia Rehabilitation center.

Hi all, My husband is Greek from Thessaloniki and 2 years ago we faced severe problems when my father in law had a stroke. We got the
first flight to Thessaloniki to look after him.After several days in the hospital (great service as well) we were informed that he was
left with some serious damage at his left side (hands and legs). It was difficult for him to walk, take a shower or even use the remote
control. 2-3 months after the hospital while looking for rehabilitation options we were told about Evexia. This center had a great
reputation within the local society. When we visited their premises, located in a wonderful piece of land/nature close to Halkidiki I
was impressed by the style of the building, the frienldy people and obviously by the number of doctors and range of services they were
offering. Evexia looked more like a friendly hotel than like a health institute. Their physicians made an intensive treatment plan for
almost 2 months for my father in law. When I went back to Thessaloniki to visit him 3 months after his treatment I could not believe how
were he looked. No cinetic disorder at all. Thank God he feels great anymore.
