Overall, I had four consultations in the United States. Various options were given. Three dentists wanted to do a complete smile
makeover saving all my 18 still remaining teeth in combination with dental implants, only one was willing to remove all my teeth. He
offered what is called 3 on 6. Three bridges consisting of four teeth installed each on two implants in the jaw. All of what was
offered was not what I was looking for. Early on in my research I stumbled upon the Basal Implant System. To my great dismay, I
figured out the Basal Implant System was not approved for use In the United States by the FDA and therefore not available.
I
contacted four Clinics overseas who were very formidable, trained and experienced in using Basal Implants. Early on in my intensive
internet search I was guided to Dr. Motiwala’s extensive and very informative website. I told my husband going to his dental
clinic in Hyderabad would be my ultimate choice. First, Dr. Motiwala is trained and has worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon
which means he has great knowledge when it comes to the bone structure of the human face. Secondly, in Europe he underwent extensive
training in immediate implantology including the basal implant system.
Last but not least and in my mind of uppermost importance,
Dr. Motiwala is the only one who emphasized on his website how important the role of the second molar is in regards to being able to
chew food the correct way.
Therefore, when he does full mouth reconstruction, he does not give 10 teeth or 12 teeth per arch, Dr.
Motiwala includes the second molar which means one gets 14 teeth per arch. Why settle for sufficient function of the mouth when one can
get that close to perfection.
Seemed impossible at that time to just go ahead and do it. Covid just had hit and nation after
nation went into lockdown. Now it is the very end of 2021 and here I am and my treatment is just about finished.
While here
and after the first consultation with Dr. Motiwala, where he pointed out a couple of things not clearly visible on the panoramic x-ray,
I had sent from the United States I decided the best choice for me and my situation and to avoid further trouble in the future would
be to undergo not a smile makeover, but a full mouth restoration in India. At that time, he also mentioned that my bone
was good. The very next day I spend long hours in the dentist chair having 18 teeth removed and at the same time the 22 implants
were placed into my lower and upper jaw…. even I did not feel anything that day was not what I would call a walk in the park.
By
now, I have been back and forth to the clinic numerous times and the reconstruction of my mouth is as good as almost over. Dr.
Motiwala when working on one is very calm, fully in command, knows absolutely what he is doing and how it should be done. He is in
complete authority and does have everything and everybody under his control including the patient. The clinic is very clean,
the dental equipment is up to date and rivals the equipment of any good dental clinic in Europe or in the United States. The atmosphere
in the office is very nice, quiet and peaceful what I do very much like. The whole staff is very well educated and trained in their
appointed position, very friendly and helpful when needed.
I also want to thank Mrs. Tasneem and her partner who helped me and my
husband to arrange the trip and made everything very smooth and easy for me while staying here.
Time frame for the
restoration of my teeth when the work would have been done in the United States varied from start to finish between 9 months to 1 ½
years depending on the individual clinic.
Here it is true, no exaggeration, or a fluke- full mouth restoration can be done
and accomplished easily during the course of three working days (Permanent teeth in 3 days).
I personally made the decision to give
myself a little bit more time. I wanted nobody to be rushed and also give myself sometime to wear my new set of teeth and smiles for a
couple of days here before I would leave India. You know sometimes minor adjustment may, or may not be needed to be done, to make a
perfect job...absolutely perfect. With that thought in and, on my mind, I made sure I would have some time left for last
minute fine tuning if needed. It is always the little foxes that spoil the vine that it was the good book says. It’s the little
things, the tiny things overlooked that often times spoil great things of values.
My new set of teeth I was told is very
beautiful. Great color, great shape, beautiful workmanship and overall, not only a very good but the perfect fit for my face and
overall appearance.
Now to sum it up yes, I know in my heart that I made the right decision to have had my dental work done right
here in Hyderabad at Dr. Motiwala's clinic. You ask me if I am happy my answer to you is yes, I am very happy and absolutely
satisfied.
