"I was slightly nervous about going abroad for dental treatment, but my worries were forgotten the moment i arrived. I was collected at the airport as promised, and taken directly to Marek to discuss treatment which began that day after many photos and x-rays and lots of talk (he asked me what i wanted out of the treatment, this would never of happened in England). I had a number of crowns and bridges fitted over a three month period, which I feel has changed my whole life, and wish that I had had the courage and knowledge many years ago to travel abroad."

Pros: you can afford what you only dreamed of before
"I have had five implants in August and I am now waiting the required 6 month period to enable the bone to do its work. The whole experience up to now has been amazing. I even went back last week for a review (my choice) and visited the hygenist who also works miracles. We stayed at the apartment first which was clean and comfortable, and the last time, my sister and I stayed at the 5 star spa hotel and that was heaven. I recommend the dental treatment to everyone who does not have money to burn and wants a very professional team to look after thier dental requirments. I am so looking forward to March"

"Everything went very well except what I expected to pay. I did specifically ask prior to booking and understood that the cost of the operation would be £70 for the root canal treatment, irrespective of how many were done. In the event, I was charged £70 for each of three and actually at that cost, I wouldn't go back for a similar treatment."

"After finding out my bridge I had done here a few years ago was playing up and advised to have dentures.I started searching the internet and found Piestany Dental Clinic. Although I was very nervous and went with my daughter I found the dentist,the treatment and the hospitality excellant. On my first visit Dr Salka made me feel relaxed and started straight away . I came home with a temporary bridge and returned to fit the proper one. they collected me from the airport and took me back. So I came home with 8 new crowns and 3 implants which have to settle for 6 months. I am due to go back in a few weeks and cant wait. It has changed my life and made me feel more confident. thanks to all the staff. It was a part of the world I knew nothing about and the people and the land is great .There are spas in the area and next time were having a holiday as well ."

"I am mid 50 and had awful, small and yelow teeth with alot of gum disease. I had hygiene treatment for my poor gums and had 18 - yes 18 - new zirconium crowns fitted. The result is amazing and I definitely look younger now and smile alot more! The care by the dentist is wonderful and the staff are kind and considerate and speak English. I felt safe at all times and stayed in their apartments both times I came over. Even had taxi service when it was raining and needed to go to the store! I came over on my own for the second visit, lt was okay and I met other English patients.I intend to go back over in 6 months time for a check up and another hygienist treatment, as it will still be cheaper than having it done in England, where we are ripped off big time! So for anyone thinking of going to Slovakia for dental treatment I totally recommend this dental clinic 100%."

"I was born in Slovakia not far from Piestany, but I live in London. I found out on the internet about Dental Holiday treatment. I made few phone calls and arrange interview at the clinic. After two visits I had done 13 zirconium crowns on upper jaw and my smile change my live forever. I fully recommend Dental holiday in Piestany."

"I would recommend anyone requiring dental treatment to use the Piestany Clinic . I had 5 white porcelian fillings on my upper front teeth which look and feel fantastic .Dr Marik explains the treatment in detail and there is no pressure to have any treatment you dont feel comfortable with .I went with the intention of having crowns fitted which my dentist said was the only option Dr Marik examined my teeth and said I didnt require expensive crowns the fillings would be suitable saving me quite a lot of money these guys are fanfastic"

"When two dental crowns I'd had for a number of years fell out for the third time, my local dentist advised me that my alternatives were a denture or dental implants. The cost of implants in the UK is astronomical. I'd heard about much cheaper treatment in eastern Europe, so I searched the internet. After receiving information from a few dental practises, I chose Piestany Dental Clinic. From the first advice I was given before any arrangements were made, I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail from the staff at the clinic. I could not believe everything could run so smoothly! I arrrived at about 10pm on a Friday night and there was someone to collect me at Bratislava airport. I was then taken directly to my apartment (a 40-minute drive). The following morning I was collected for an 8.30am appointment and taken to the surgery. I had expected to have a meeting witn Dr Marek, then return that afternoon for my treatment. I was pleasantly surprised when, after a short consultation with Dr Marek, he was able to tell me exactly how he would be able to help me. Within half an hour I was in the chair having two implants. I was equally impressed with the surgery, which was performed under hospital standard hygienic conditions. After my surgery I was driven back to my apartment, then when I was due to go home, I was collected in plenty of time to catch my flight back to London. As my implants were in my upper jaw, I had to wait six months for them to heal, after which time I made two further visits to Piestany to have impressions taken and preparation for the three crowns I was to have. I can say with all honesty, during the whole of my treatment I felt absolutely no pain and the organisation of the clnic was excellent. Everything went as planned with not a single hitch. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and am truly totally pleased with my new smile. On top of all this, when I take into account three trips to Slovakia by air, accommodation, two dental implants, three dental crowns, plus a visit to the clinic's hygienist, I still paid only 25% of the cost I would have had to pay in England for two implants and three crowns. I am therefore a totally satisfied patient!"

"I have had numberoues treatments in the UK since i was a child and the clinics, dentists and treatments have not been a patch on Dr Malik and Daniel Shaw. I travelled alone to Bratislava and was immediatly collected from the airport and taken to Piestany by Paulo who was friendly and kind. I did not feel at any point that i needed to worry. The clinic was clean and modern and i was greeted by Daniel on arrival. Both Daniel and Dr Malik invited me for lunch before my treatment, as i was on my own. The advice and subsequent treatment i recieved on my teeth was excellent, there was no pressure to have more expensive treatment. My second visit was just as welcoming and positive. My smile is amazing, even now after 3 months, people who i see everyday comment on how wonderful my teeth look and how much more i smile. I have recommended this clinic to family and friends and if i ever need more work carried out i will visit Daniel and Dr Malik. Do not hesitate with this decision, it will be worth it!

"I wen't to Piestany Dental Clinic in March this year to get a better smile and am very pleased with the results. I initially chose this dentist because of the price which is less than a quarter than that of the UK, and the location which was less than 2 hours flight away. I wen't to Slovakia alone, was picked up from the Bratislava airport and driven to Piestany which is about 45 minutes drive away. Daniel organised my accomodation and i was given a mobile phone to use as i wish. My consultation was the next morning. Dr Marek spoke to me in great detail about the procedure i requested and explained everything. I opted for 6 ceramic crowns. This took 2 visits, both were very pleasurable. The room i stayed in was about 5 minutes walk from the Clinic. It was nice and clean with everything you would expect, they had Cable, but i brought my laptop as i planned to catch up on some things (There is no internet access in the room, however there is a wireless connection in the clinic waiting room which i took advantage of) anyway i never really stayed in the room except for sleeping as there is plenty to do, This is a spa town and quite picturesque, plus there are lots of cafe's and bars so i spent my time drinking far to many cocktails. Very cheap to eat and drink out and everyone is very friendly in the city. Handy to learn afew basic phrases though as many of the bar staff don't speak English. All the staff at the clinic speak perfect English. To wrap up i am very happy i chose this Clinic and have recommended ti to anyone who sees my new pearly whites. The staff are all nice and Dr marek is a perfectionist. Accomodation is very good, and basically you don't have to do anything except book your flights, and turn up, Daniel and Ludka, (who is very hot) takes care of the rest and keeps you updated.Room prices were £25 a night and there was no charge for transfers to and from the airport. Plus no charge for use of the phone. Most importantly it didn't hurt one bit."

"Well where do I start, I was in dire need of some extensive dental work, including replacement of a front tooth along with a number of crowns. I had some quotes done in the UK and to be honest I did not fancy having to re-mortgage my house to fund the work so I looked across the water to Europe and in my research I came across the web site www.dentalholiday.co.uk. I was a bit apprehensive but shot a few emails off and made a couple of phone calls to Slovakia to find out more. I was very impressed with the responses and what swung it was a free consultation and the bargain bucket flights both to and from Slovakia.
So off I went, hey nothing ventured nothing gained.
When I arrived I was met at the airport given a mobile phone and driven to my apartment which although missing a TV was clean and spacious.
The next day someone arrived at the apartment and walked me to the clinic for my consultation. Again I was impressed with the set up and how nice the staff were.
Needless to say after the consultation I agreed to have 6 Crowns which included the replacement front tooth. I also agreed to have 4 crowns on my bottom jaw as well.
In for a penny in for a pound.
This meant 4 trips back and forth, each one was a city break in it's self and was not expensive due to Ryan Air's discounts.
All in all I can say my experience with this clinic was fantastic, the only down side is that although Piestany is a beautiful town there is not a great deal of entertainment past the Spa, but hey I am a single chap and my needs maybe different to yours.
I did a tandem skydive on one of my trips, three root canals in the morning and out of a plane at 15k feet strapped to some bloke in the afternoon that should give you an idea of the tip top pain relief I recieved!
In fact my brother is now going over and he has worked out the flights so he only stays two nights and as he arrives at 23.45 so one of those nights does not really count.
I am going back in the New Year for a check up.
All I can say if you are thinking about it just do it, you won’t regret it, and it will definitely put a smile on your face...."

"Needing a significant amount of dental work done, I had a number of options - all of which were fully explained by Dr Salka. I did not feel pressurised to go with a particular option and all my questions were answered so that ultimately I made my own informed decision. This small practice is not at all intimidating and a personal, first class service is provided. My third and final visit to Piestany was in February this year and I have had no problems at all with my implants and crowns since. I will definitely return to Piestany if I want any further dental work done in the future and highly recommend the practice."
